The origins
Smailers was born from a simple and profound need:
to be present… with a smile!
Early volunteering experiences,
Civil Protection work, community engagement,
and encounters with vulnerability
gradually shaped a clear vision:
human relationships come first
Projects with children
For many years, the heart of Smailers’ work
was dedicated to school-age children
Through educational projects, prevention initiatives, and playful, formative activities, we worked alongside schools, families, and communities
It was a body of work centered on education and personal growth, using the “learning through laughter” methodology, through unique formats developed in collaboration with the Rome Provincial Fire Department.
Recognitions and awards
Over the years, several Smailers initiatives received official recognition, including commendations and awards also from the Presidency of the Italian Republic.
These recognitions were never a finish line,
but confirmation of the seriousness and meaning of our work carried out
As often happens in real journeys, our path also went through a pause. Covid, together with personal circumstances, required us to slow down...not an ending, but a time of silence and reflection
Today, Smailers resumes its path with the same authenticity as always and a more conscious perspective
